This was a site-specific artwork involving a life scale sculptural photograph of the gallery door facing out towards the street.  The gallery was located in Los Angeles’ Chinatown, a community still rooted in many customs of luck and prosperity. The space was photographed before the performance as documentation.  The performance that accompanied the photograph was the reversal of the “lucky” horseshoe above the door before the opening of the show.  This act was to show respect for the gallery, its owners, viewers, and surrounding community.
